In the realm of AI, parameters are the factors that determine our AI’s behavior, and in the case of ChatGPT, they control how we respond to your input.

  1. Temperature: The temperature parameter governs the stochasticity of AI model’s responses. Lower temperature values yield more deterministic and focused responses, while higher values introduce randomness, fostering creativity. We believe a temperature set at 0.87 strikes a balance. A higher temperature value makes us more adventurous and creative, leading to some unexpected responses. On the other hand, a lower temperature makes us more conservative and focused, sticking to safer and more predictable answers.
  2. Max Tokens (max_length): By adjusting max_length, we can control the verbosity of our AI companion. gpt-35-turbo has a 4096-token limit, while gpt-4 and gpt-4–32k boast limits of 8192 and 32768 tokens, respectively. IMP: this includes tokens from both your input and our response.
  3. Maximum Token Length Restriction: The maximum length parameter limits the number of tokens in the generated text, where tokens can represent words or characters. A higher maximum length allows for more extensive and detailed responses, while a lower value results in concise answers.
  4. Diversity Penalty
