Once upon a time, in a small town nestled amidst rolling hills, there lived a girl named Ayumi. Ayumi’s days were filled with wonder and curiosity as she explored the world around her. However, amidst the beauty of her surroundings, there was one thing that troubled her deeply — her beloved mother’s declining health.

Ayumi’s mother, a woman of strength and resilience, had faced numerous ailments that had weakened her body over time. Despite the toll it took on her, she remained steadfast in her determination to continue working. Day after day, Ayumi pleaded with her mother to take a break, to rest and prioritize her well-being. But her mother, with a stubbornness both admirable and worrisome, refused to yield.

One evening, Ayumi returned home to find her mother engaged in physical work, despite their ongoing discussions about finding a balance between rest and activity. The sight struck a nerve within Ayumi, who had grown increasingly anxious about her mother’s well-being. Unable to contain her frustration any longer, Ayumi stormed into the room, her voice trembling with anger.

“Mother, why won’t you listen to me?” she shouted, her eyes brimming with tears. “You know how much I worry about you. I can’t bear to see you pushing yourself like this!”

Ayumi’s mother stopped her work and faced her daughter, her brow furrowing with a mix of fatigue and defiance. “Ayumi, I appreciate your concern, but you have to understand that you need to rest as well. You need to focus on your studies.”

It had been going on for several years.

Tears streamed down Ayumi’s face as she clenched her fists, her frustration boiling over. “But at what cost, Mother? Your health is deteriorating before my eyes, and it scares me. I need you to be there for me, to be healthy and happy. Can’t you see that?”

Her mother sighed heavily, her eyes betraying a mixture of stubbornness and guilt. But she said nothing.

Tension hung heavily in the air as mother and daughter locked eyes, their conflicting emotions threatening to tear them…
